Facet Silver Top kit containing Gold-Flo® series cylindrical electronic fuel pump and mounting hardware. Facet® brand pumps are a global leader in the electronic fuel pump industry and known for their high quality and dependability. Ideal replacement for the factory Lancia Scorpion and Montecarlo S1 electric fuel pump with equivalent specifications and fittings for the existing firewall mounting bracket. May also be used as an upgrade to the mechanical fuel pump of Lancia Montecarlo S2 models with the fabrication of a suitable bracket for the left-hand side engine compartment wall or cross-member as required. This pump is applicable to original Weber 32 DATRA and 34 DATR carburettors, but a fuel pressure regulator must be used such as the 67mm Filter King, see EN339. For twin carburettor conversions, the uprated Facet Silver Top Competition fuel pump would be recommended, see EN334. A service replaceable 74 micron filter is fitted inside the base of the pump and additional filtration is provided by a removable bottom cover magnet for any metal particles. An external pre-filter must always be used from the tank to protect against initial debris, see EN348. The fuel pump should always be powered such that it will stop in the event of an accident, but still allow it to be primed before engine start-up. The use of an inertia safety switch in the pump power supply is recommended, see EE319, but the oil pressure triggered Lancia Scorpion and Montecarlo S1 start/run relay circuit can be used as is or implemented if preferred. Facet service parts are available including filter element EN337 and bottom cover seal EN338. Important: When fitting fuel unions, either wrap PTFE tape around the threads or use Loctite 243 to create a fuel proof seal.
